I am Bill Fetter. Along with my supportive wife, AnnMarie, we are the proud owners of Immaculate Paint Protection, a family-owned business established in 2018.
My passion for cars started early—if it had wheels, I loved it. You could say it’s in the blood; my father was a Mechanical Engineer and a lifelong General Motors employee. In high school, I honed my passion by detailing neighbors’ vehicles, but I knew I wanted to understand the industry from the inside out.
I attended Kettering University (formerly General Motors Institute) in Flint, Michigan, earning a degree in Industrial Engineering. For years, I worked as an engineer in automotive manufacturing, medical devices, and pharmaceuticals. That engineering background is what makes Immaculate Paint Protection different: I don’t just “apply” film; I obsess over the process, the precision, and the long-term results.
Why I Started This Company
The idea for Immaculate Paint Protection was born out of frustration. I always kept my vehicles clean, but I couldn’t stop the inevitable rock chips and bug splatter. The only repair options were unsightly touch-up paint or an expensive repaint.
In 2011, I bought a kit and attempted to install 3M Scotchgard PPF myself. To put it bluntly: it looked terrible. That failure taught me immediately that PPF installation is a complex craft requiring precision and training, not a simple weekend project.
However, I became a true believer years later when I traded that car in with nearly 100,000 miles on it. Despite my amateur installation, I received top dollar because the paint underneath was still flawless.
Determined to master the craft properly, I applied my engineering mindset to market research. I found that the 3M ProSeries film offered the best protection and appearance, backed by the massive R&D arm of 3M. Mastering that notably difficult material set the standard for the quality and precision we deliver today.
